Add More Miles to Your Ride
For sure the ride around Lake Superior is a bucket list adventure and there are additional routes if you want to add more miles to the ride. To help you plan all these rides, we’ve put together itineraries with mapped-out mileage and cool things you can do and see. These tours follow the most scenic parts of the road, have interesting stops and in some cases, take you off the beaten track.
Lake Superior Tour
The Ride Lake Superior route takes you as close to the shoreline as possible while remaining on the pavement. There are some incredible stretches of road you will want to double back on and do again.
Grand Algoma Tour
The Grand Algoma Tour is a two-day tour that takes you along the Lake Superior shoreline, then inland through the heart of Algoma. Highlights include the scenery between Sault Ste. Marie and Wawa.
Ride the Giant
The Giant, as it’s known, is a massive peninsula that provides the backdrop within the City of Thunder Bay. This twisty ride to Silver Islet and back is a must-do…just watch for deer.
Waterfalls & Scenic Lookouts
Combine viewing the epic Kakabeka Falls with several must-do lookouts around the city. Thunder Bay has a very dramatic setting that is best explored by bike.
