The Big Loonie
Echo Bay is home to the Loon Dollar Monument, constructed and dedicated in 1992.
The Monument is dedicated to Mr. Robert R. Carmichael, the artist responsible for the creation of the design on Canada’s One Dollar Coin, known as the “Loonie”.
