Cross River Wayside

This rest area sits at the edge of the Temperance River State Park and the Cross River waterfalls that cascade towards Lake Superior. The wayside features a restroom and benches, and a historic plaque honouring the pioneer missionary Father Baraga. Across the road from the wayside is a small shop serving drinks, sandwiches and souvenirs. There is parking and restrooms. The sidewalk leads you from the parking lot to the viewing bridge. This stop is part of the North Shore Scenic Drive, a national scenic by-way (or an All-American Road).
