Since its establishment in 1982, the Keweenaw County Historical Society has curated a quartet of captivating museums at the light station. Alongside the iconic lighthouse, visitors can explore the Maritime Museum housed within the historic fog signal building, delve into local history at the Keweenaw History Museum nestled in the former U.S. Coast Guard Station garage, and journey through the region’s maritime heritage at the Commercial Fishing Museum lodged within one of the assistant keepers’ buildings.
